Fonts and Lettering The choice of typeface will have a considerable bearing upon the look of the final product. We have already given some examples on the memorials and plaques pages but you are not limited to those fonts. Many others can be specified according to the design that you are considering. A couple of points to bear in mind - Try not to use too many different typefaces in one design. Usually sticking with two is best although varying the weight of the font, ie bold, regular, light, italic etc is fine. Some elegant and fine fonts are less suitable for etching or engraving as their slender lines can break up during processing. We will advise if there is a problem with this.
