Sands is a UK based charity established to help parents and extended family following the death of a child who was stillborn or died shortly after birth. Sands has a memorial garden at the National Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire which features a beautiful carved stone statue of a baby by renowned sculptor John Roberts.

Sunset Designs memorials can contain a photograph, names, dates and verse. However, as in many cases no suitable photograph may be available, Sands have given permission for an image of the John Roberts sculpture to be used to represent a death of an infant. Our memorials are suitable for indoor or outdoor situations and we will happily give advice on which material will suit your requirements.

Sands is staffed by people who in many cases have experienced the death of a baby themselves and so are ideally qualified to offer empathy and practical advice at your time of need.
